Our Board of Directors met following last week's meeting for the express purpose of discussing what it means to be a Model Club with regards to eliminating Maternal Neonatal Tetanus from the earth. Figures were discussed, such as how much we have already paid into the Eliminate project through individual donations, fundraising amounts, Happy Dollars, Big Bucks (when given back by the one whose name was drawn, Pro's and Con's were discussed, but when the time came to vote as a Board, we were totally in agreement that this project was a very worthwhile project, but that the club membership needs to have the opportunity to decide whether we, as a club would become a Model Club over the next five years. John Polk has agreed to bring a program on January 22nd, with video, and details, and the club will be given a chance to vote on whether we want to undertake to be a Model Club. Please everyone plan to be at the meeting on January 22nd.
