WE NEED YOUR PRESENCE AT DEZAVALA SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 13.
If you signed up last Thursday, May 7, and agreed to help pick up trash, lets all meet at 1:30pm at DeZavala Elementary School, because the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be there at 1:45pm to present the school with a large check as a token of thanks for donating such a large amount of money during their project, "Pennies for Patients., which our K-Kids sponsored.    Our K-Kids's fourth grade class raised almost $2900 dollars themselves ,in loose change.  Kayla Shook, our K-Kids faculty advisor is their teacher and  She would love to see as many Kiwanians there for the check presentation as possible, and then if the weather is tolerable, we can pick up trash afterwards.  If it is raining on Wednesday, then we can reschedule, but let's have as many Kiwanian club members as can to come out for the check presentation.  It probably will be held in the cafeteria, so lets all meet in the main office and then go from there.  When you show up for things like this, it lets the school and the community that we are very interested in what they are doing.
