Short report:
August birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated at our Monday, August 18th meeting at 6:00 pm. at Grins. No regular meeting on Thursday.
Volunteers are needed for setup starting at 4:00 pm. for the club Installation Banquet on Sept. 19th. Kelli said homemade desserts would be appreciated. See Rick's email sent to everyone on Aug. 14th for more details.
August 28th is the Chamber Business Showcase at Embassy Suites. Setup for the booth is at 9:30 am. Kelli suggested having a bean bag game on a smaller scale but similar to the Cornhole tournament which is a great idea. She will bring her game equipment. Jesse will have the Sunflower Bank booth set up by our booth so we can share his photo booth.
The Rotary Club proposed a collaboration with our club to have a "packing event" in which food supplies are pur together that will feed six people. This will happen on Oct. 18th from 10:00-12:00 at the Lutheran Church.
Glen invited everyone to attend his birthday celebration on Aug. 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 at Todd Hall across from the United Methodist Church.
This month's board meeting on Wed. Aug. 20th will be at the San Marcos Library starting at 5:00. If you need to make up a meeting, this is a good opportunity.
PROGRAM: Rick went over how to get into Kiwanis "Engage," the new website platform for Kiwanis International. He showed the various drop down menus and features that members can use. It is highly recommended that members get acquainted with this resource.
