Kristi Dame really enjoyed sorting through the young adult's fiction.
Cheryl Petre took a moment to glance through one of the books being sold.
Jennifer Richmond found the young adult's non-fiction, and found some facinating titles.
Meet and Greet at the San Marcos Public Library

So many books!  Our meeting, this week, was a very productive meeting!  We met several of the librarians and library volunteers, and organized books that will be sold during the library's used book sale!  Thank you, Kristi Dame, for organizing the lunch.  It was good!

Rick Pickering helped organize books from several different genres.

Charles Johnson took a moment to read some very interesting titles.
Glen Rydl, Haley, and Willie Garza took time to eat lunch and socialize.

The San Marcos Kiwanis Club and the San Marcos Public Library volunteers were successful in setting up the Library's Used Book Sale.  We made a great team!

HUMOR AND MUSING:
Fictional stories
The first novel ever written is debated
While Robinson Crusoe (1719) is often called the first English novel, the Japanese work The Tale of Genji (10th century) is widely regarded as the first novel in any language.

The most expensive book ever sold was a novel
A first edition of The Great Gatsby sold for over $1 million, showing how fiction can become a luxury collectible.

Fiction can be a form of therapy
Engaging with stories can help people process emotions, reduce stress, and even improve mental health by offering empathy and perspective

Captain Picard: How many ears does he have? Three — a left ear, a right ear, and a final front‑ear
