ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REPORTS:
1. McBride Wilson Kiwanis Camp: The property tax exemption on our camp property has been approved! The paperwork for yearly approval will need to be resubmitted each year. The property tax exemption is not an automatic renewal.
2. Dues: If there is any member that has not paid dues or is missing the partial amount, for 2025-2026, we are asking that this becomes top priority. All missing dues need to be submitted by Aug. 31, 2026, to complete the member enrollment report with Kiwanis International.
3. Board Meeting and Committees: The agenda for the upcoming board meeting will partially focus on adding or revising club policy for several committees, including the membership committee and sponsorship.
4. Kiwanis International Lt. Governor: Rick Pickering has agreed to act as Lt. Governor, again, for the 2026-2027 Kiwanis year. He has received lots of positive feedback for the job he has been doing, and he gets to work with a Trustee to bring in many more improvements.
5. New Member: We hope to welcome in a new member, pending board approval, at our July 16, 2026, club meeting. Please plan to attend this meeting so that we can induct and welcome in Paul Gensen, to our club!
6 . Birthday Celebrations: Cheryl Petre will be bringing in a dessert next week, to celebrate each of the July birthdays! Thank you, Cheryl!
7. Camp Workday: Lon Shell has asked for club members to attend our next workday, scheduled for Sat., July 11, 2026, beginning at 9:00am. Our camp has made a very positive impression on so many young people and is a great place for the club to have a social. The upkeep can be a lot of work, though! Plan to join Lon on July 11, 2026, and bring snacks and drinks to share.
On a side note, Lon Shell sent several pictures from the building of the tractor shed and is challenging the reader to identify the people in the pictures! Good luck!
